ܐܢ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܚܫ ܚܠܦܝܟܘܢ ܒܒܣܪ ܘܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܗ ܒܗܢܐ ܪܥܝܢܐ ܐܙܕܝܢܘ ܟܠܡܢ ܕܡܐܬ ܓܝܪ ܒܦܓܪܗ ܫܠܝ ܠܗ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܚܛܗܐ
'n mshykh' hkyl khsh khlpykwn bbsr w'p 'nthwn bh bhn' reyn' 'zdynw klmn dm'th gyr bpgrh shly lh mn klhwn khTh'
Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin;

ܕܠܐ ܡܟܝܠ ܠܪܓܝܓܬܐ ܕܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܢܚܐ ܟܡܐ ܙܒܢܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܦܓܪܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܨܒܝܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ

that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

ܣܦܩ ܓܝܪ ܙܒܢܐ ܗܘ ܕܥܒܪ ܕܦܠܚܬܘܢ ܒܗ ܨܒܝܢܐ ܕܚܢܦܐ ܒܐܣܘܛܘܬܐ ܘܒܪܘܝܘܬܐ ܘܒܨܚܢܘܬܐ ܘܒܙܡܪܐ ܘܒܦܘܠܚܢܐ ܕܫܐܕܐ
spq gyr zbn' hw debr dplkhthwn bh tsbyn' dkhnp' b'swTwth' wbrwywth' wbtskhnwth' wbzmr' wbpwlkhn' dsh'd'
For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.

ܘܗܐ ܗܫܐ ܡܬܕܡܪܝܢ ܘܡܓܕܦܝܢ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܒܕܠܐ ܡܫܬܪܚܝܬܘܢ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܒܗܝ ܐܣܘܛܘܬܐ ܩܕܡܝܬܐ
wh' hsh' mthdmryn wmgdpyn elykwn bdl' mshthrkhythwn emhwn bhy 'swTwth' qdmyth'
They think it is strange that you don’t run with them into the same excess of riot, blaspheming:

ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܗܒܝܢ ܦܬܓܡܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܗܘ ܕܥܬܝܕ ܠܡܕܢ ܡܝܬܐ ܘܚܝܐ
hnwn dyhbyn pthgm' l'lh' hw dethyd lmdn myth' wkhy'
who will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܣܬܒܪ ܐܦ ܠܡܝܬܐ ܕܢܬܕܝܢܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܒܒܣܪ ܘܢܚܘܢ ܒܐܠܗܐ ܒܪܘܚ
mTl hn' gyr 'sthbr 'p lmyth' dnthdynwn 'yk bnynsh' bbsr wnkhwn b'lh' brwkh
For to this end the Good News was preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed as men in the flesh, but live as to God in the spirit.

ܡܛܝܬ ܠܗ ܕܝܢ ܚܪܬܐ ܕܟܠ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܬܢܟܦܘ ܘܐܬܬܥܝܪܘ ܠܨܠܘܬܐ
mTyth lh dyn khrth' dkl mTl hn' 'thnkpw w'ththeyrw ltslwth'
But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer.

ܘܩܕܡ ܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܚܘܒܐ ܚܪܝܦܐ ܠܘܬ ܚܕܕܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܚܘܒܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܚܦܐ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܚܛܗܐ
wqdm kl mdm khwb' khryp' lwth khdd' nhw' lkwn khwb' gyr mkhp' swg'' dkhTh'
And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.

ܘܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܪܚܡܝܢ ܐܟܣܢܝܐ ܕܠܐ ܪܛܢܐ
whwythwn rkhmyn 'ksny' dl' rTn'
Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.

ܘܟܠܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܡܘܗܒܬܐ ܕܩܒܠ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܢܫܡܫ ܒܗ ܠܚܒܪܘܗܝ ܐܝܟ ܪܒܝ ܒܬܐ ܛܒܐ ܕܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܡܦܪܫܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ
wklnsh mnkwn mwhbth' dqbl mn 'lh' nshmsh bh lkhbrwhy 'yk rby bth' Tb' dTybwth' mprshth' d'lh'
As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.

ܟܠܡܢ ܕܡܡܠܠ ܐܝܟ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܢܡܠܠ ܘܟܠܡܢ ܕܡܫܡܫ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܚܝܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܕܒܟܠ ܕܥܒܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܢܫܬܒܚ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܝܕ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܗܘ ܕܕܝܠܗ ܗܝ ܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܘܐܝܩܪܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܐܡܝܢ
klmn dmmll 'yk mlth' d'lh' nmll wklmn dmshmsh 'yk dmn khyl' hw d'lh' yhb lh dbkl debdyn 'nthwn nshthbkh 'lh' byd yshwe mshykh' hw ddylh hy thshbwkhth' w'yqr' lelm elmyn 'myn
If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

ܚܒܝܒܝ ܠܐ ܬܬܕܡܪܘܢ ܒܢܣܝܘܢܐ ܕܗܘܝܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܕܡ ܢܘܟܪܝ ܓܕܫ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܒܘܚܪܢܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܗܘܝܢ
khbyby l' ththdmrwn bnsywn' dhwyn lkwn 'yk dmdm nwkry gdsh lkwn mTl dlbwkhrnkwn hw hwyn
Beloved, don’t be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you, to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you.

ܐܠܐ ܚܕܘ ܕܡܫܬܘܬܦܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܚܫܘܗܝ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܒܓܠܝܢܐ ܕܬܫܒܘܚܬܗ ܬܚܕܘܢ ܘܬܪܘܙܘܢ
'l' khdw dmshthwthpyn 'nthwn lkhshwhy dmshykh' dhkn' 'p bglyn' dthshbwkhthh thkhdwn wthrwzwn
But because you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy.

ܘܐܢ ܡܬܚܣܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܥܠ ܐܦܝ ܫܡܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܛܘܒܝܟܘܢ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܡܫܒܚܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܬܬܢܝܚܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ
w'n mthkhsdyn 'nthwn el 'py shmh dmshykh' Twbykwn drwkh' mshbkhth' d'lh' mththnykh' elykwn
If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed; because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.

ܒܠܚܘܕ ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܩܛܘܠܐ ܐܘ ܐܝܟ ܓܢܒܐ ܐܘ ܐܝܟ ܥܒܕ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܚܐܫ
blkhwd l' 'nsh mnkwn 'yk qTwl' 'w 'yk gnb' 'w 'yk ebd byshth' nhw' kh'sh
For let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil doer, or a meddler in other men’s matters.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܚܐܫ ܐܝܟ ܟܪܣܛܝܢܐ ܠܐ ܢܒܗܬ ܐܠܐ ܢܫܒܚ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܒܗ ܒܗܢܐ ܫܡܐ
'n dyn kh'sh 'yk krsTyn' l' nbhth 'l' nshbkh l'lh' bh bhn' shm'
But if one of you suffers for being a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this matter.

ܡܛܠ ܕܙܒܢܐ ܗܘ ܕܢܫܪܐ ܕܝܢܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܢܢ ܡܫܪܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܗܝ ܚܪܬܐ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܬܛܦܝܣܝܢ ܠܣܒܪܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ
mTl dzbn' hw dnshr' dyn' mn bythh d'lh' 'n dyn mnn mshr' 'yd' hy khrth' d'ylyn dl' mthTpysyn lsbrthh d'lh'
For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God. If it begins first with us, what will happen to those who don’t obey the Good News of God?

ܘܐܢ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܠܡܚܣܢ ܚܝܐ ܪܫܝܥܐ ܘܚܛܝܐ ܐܝܟܐ ܡܫܬܟܚ
w'n zdyq' lmkhsn khy' rshye' wkhTy' 'yk' mshthkkh
“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will happen to the ungodly and the sinner?”

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚܫܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܢܓܥܠܘܢ ܠܗ ܢܦܫܬܗܘܢ ܒܥܒܕܐ ܫܦܝܪܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܒܪܘܝܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ
mTl hn' 'ylyn dkhshyn 'yk tsbynh d'lh' ngelwn lh npshthhwn bebd' shpyr' 'yk dlbrwy' mhymn'
Therefore let them also who suffer according to the will of God in doing good entrust their souls to him, as to a faithful Creator.
